This is in part due to the recent and highly publicized leaked internal company memo from Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer\u00a0removing the option to work from home for all Yahoo employees. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mpdailyfix.com\/eight-misconceptions-about-working-from-home\/?adref=nlt030413\">MarketingProfs&#8217; Veronica Jarski Corey O&#8217;Loughlin<\/a> outlined a few misconceptions and realities about working from home in a recent article.<\/p>\n<p><strong><ul class=\"standard-arrow bullet-top\"><li><p><span style=\"color: #203961;\">Myth #1: Speed and quality are often sacrificed when working from home.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li><strong><\/ul><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Loughlin explained that while this may\u00a0have been true even only a decade ago, now\u00a0smartphones and other mobile technologies are common. In response to the above mentioned line in the memo, the truth is that the wide variety of communication tools available today make it so that virtual workers can collaborate just as easily as in-office staff.<\/p>\n<p>Remote workers should be enabled with the appropriate communication and collaboration tools in order to be efficient\u00a0and productive employees.
